be0x74a's first post!

Hi all! Welcome to the first post of this project.

I have been wanting to create a tech blog for some time, but never had quite the experience with technical writing until a few weeks ago when I was asked to write an email regarding my team's experience and response to the CVE-2021-44228 (Log4J vulnerability which I'll probably get into deeper on a future blog post).

After writing that email I knew I would probably like the experience of running a tech blog and for these past weeks, the idea has been lingering in my mind. So as many do at the start of a new year, I decided to open a new chapter in my life: having my own blog and settling my brand on the world, be0x74a.

Current logo for be0x74a (may be changed in the future)

For those wondering about the meaning of the brand, be0x74a is actually beta with the t replaced by its ASCII hexadecimal character code, you guessed it, 0x74. As for the origins of the moniker beta itself, what started as a joke between some friends in college (one friend being the alpha and me the beta), was solidified by a thought a friend once had that went like this:

In a beta version there's always room for improvement

And that's the mindset I wanna approach my life with and, so, I embraced it.

That's it for the first post of what I hope will be a very active blog! Thank you for taking your time to read it and hope to get your attention next time too!
